For my Senior Capstone project, I designed and developed Journey, an interactive media installation that seamlessly blends art, technical expertise, and social commentary. This immersive experience invites participants to explore the concept of potentially habitable exoplanets, addressing humanity’s eventual need to leave Earth and the critical themes of space exploration and environmental sustainability.
Journey engages audiences through a multi-sensory environment combining audio-visual storytelling, interactivity, and speculative design. Participants learn about the characteristics of various exoplanets and their potential as future homes for humanity. The project was fully coded in THREE.js, hosted on a local Vite server, and presented on a large installation screen to create a dynamic and impactful visual display.
This capstone project exemplifies my ability to integrate cutting-edge technology with creative storytelling, transforming complex ideas into an engaging physical space. It showcases a multidisciplinary approach to creative problem-solving and audience engagement.
